Class-centric Definition
Class-centric refers to a perspective or viewpoint that is inherently biased because it is derived from a specific position within the existing economic structure. This concept is often invoked in sociology to critique how certain scholars approach social problems; for instance, middle-class sociologists are frequently accused of being class-centric when they analyse the issues faced by the working class solely from their own privileged class position.

The term is primarily used critically to examine the potential bias inherent in sociological research or theory. It highlights the risk that an analysis rooted in a particular socio-economic vantage point may fail to accurately represent the lived experiences of those outside that position, thereby overlooking systemic inequalities.
